On Saturday February 5th, 1994 - Ian 'Molly' Meldrum surprised the audience by emerging from "Melbourne's Cheapest Radio Vehicle" belonging to 90s youth radio station Hitz FM.
Molly's segment shows him visiting the station and interviewing the volunteers, including co-founder Anton Vanderlely and then Power 20 countdown host Glenn "Glen 20" Hampson. The segment was built around the videoclip for Dr Alban's song "Sing Hallelujah" which was played heavily by the station.

Random Hitz fact

The youngest artist ever heard on the station is French performer Jordy, whose song Dur Dur etre Bebe was huge in the Summer 93/94 broadcast. He was age 4 1/2 at the time of recording.
